Good afternoon.
I am having some difficulty finding the correct carburetor set for the dual manifold I ordered for my 1953 Dodge 230 flathead 6.
I want to switch to a more modern carburetor kit with electric choke. I am in need of recommendations that will fit the manifold I purchased from Offenhauser. Also, can you provide the carburetor measurements of the mounting holes, from hole to hole on center & bore hole diameter? Any leads as far as carburetors and he measurement specs on the manifold are greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Hello Colin,
The measurement for the bolt pattern spacing is 2-15/16″ and the bore is 1-1/2″.
As for a carburetor we recommend a stock carb or Zenith one barrel but since you are looking for an electric choke you can check out some 1bbl options at BFIC carbsonly that have a built in electric choke if you’d like that vintage look as well as further carb questions, you can also look into adapting the manifold to accept a 2bbl carb which can improve your cruising experience as well as your engines performance when running at full throttle, a carb like the Weber 32/36 DGEV 240CFM might interest you.
The important thing to remember is to not bog your engine with too much fuel, keep the CFM of the carbs under 250 to maintain a proper air fuel mixture and keep your engine running right, keep an eye out for those measurements given above to confirm your new carbs fit on our manifold.
Thanks for reaching out,
