To enable you to answer my original set of questions (in previous note, same subject), I should have mentioned that my 215 is getting new Rover heads (ported with oversized valves and an Erson cam that will be lobed for the torque peak near 4000 rpm and the power plateau starting @ 4000 rpm. It also has short stub exhausts mounted. Thanks for your insights, TW
The Offenhauser 7001-DP (Dual Port) intake manifold is commonly referenced as being around five and a half inches tall, which is about an inch taller than stock. The exact height can sometimes be machined down by up to half an inch if clearance needs to be adjusted. However, there may be slight variations due to carburetor pad angle and carb location, so for extremely tight clearance applications, further measurement once on hand is advised. There is not an official drawing with an ultra-precise height figure specified, but you can expect it to be approximately 5.5 inches tall from the end seal surface to the carb pad surface in standard form.
