I have a 1986 Ford F150, 4.9 inline six. I want to put one of your 4 barrel intakes and carb on it. This truck has a C6 automatic transmission. Are there any work arounds for the kick down linkage. The stock manifold is drilled and tapped on the rear for a bracket for the kick down linkage. When I look at pictures of the two manifolds you make for this engine, neither of them have those same tapped holes. I am thinking someone has come up with a linkage kit to get around this problem. Please advise. Thank you

For adapting the C6 kickdown linkage with an Offenhauser 4-barrel intake on your Ford 4.9L inline-six, there is not a dedicated Offenhauser kit, but here are your best options:
Lokar Kickdown Cable Kit:
Lokar makes a universal kickdown cable that works very well for this application. The recommended Lokar part number is: – Lokar KD-2AODHT (for AOD, AODE, 4R70W/Ford Automatic; for C6, check compatibility or use their universal Ford kit). – For your C6, the part number most often referenced is: Lokar KD-2C6HT (Lokar Ford C6 Kickdown Cable Kit). – Universal version often referenced: Lokar DP-1000U36 (universal fit, can be adapted to many setups).
Install Notes: – These brackets are commonly secured to the rear carb stud or fabricated to mount to the intake. The kit comes with all needed hardware and instructions.
